Composer for Retirement Savings and Incomes products

Composer's flexibility to define product, fund and fee structures along with various types of entities is the key to delivering the functionality to support the retirement savings plans now demanded by financial institutions. Both unitised and non-unitised products can be supported along with flexible fee structures that can be applied as defaults to funds, products, insurance, employers, advisers and members. This is coupled with smart override facilities providing Retirement Savings providers with the flexibility they require in the competitive environment.

Comprehensive insurance processing capabilities are available for the standard options such as Death, Total and Permanent Disability (TPD) and Salary Continuance (SC) typically offered by Corporate Schemes, Industry Funds and Master Trusts. This includes the ability to calculate premium based on underwriter rate tables, multiple calculation factors and loadings.Composer also provides vesting facilities with forfeited benefit management (to employer, to members, to reserve).

Reports for the Australian Tax Office and banking interfaces are available in accepted electronic formats. Support is provided for electronic transactions processed via aggregators (eg InvestmentLink in Australia) and for XML based formats. (eg SwimEC messages in Australia).

Because of the volumes often associated with employer processing, Composer provides a high degree of user convenience. For example:
  • Electronic imports of payroll files can be used to reduce manual entry
  • Payment information (such as cheque number, bank, reference number etc.) can be accessed without leaving the contributions processing function
  • Excellent employer management and follow up facilities are available because an unlimited employment history is maintained
  • Override facilities are available at the member, employer or transaction level
  • Receive electronic employer returns via an electronic gateway
  • Full taxation functionality including the ability to optimise tax between components
