General Ledger

An integrated General Ledger is a standard part of Composer. This provides the accounting and audit integrity that underpins Composer's transaction processing systems. A separate General Ledger can be configured for each fund in the system and provides transaction level enquiries and financial reporting including Trial Balance, Profit and Loss Statements and Balance Sheets. Because the General Ledger provides complete balance and transactional data it is a clean source of data to support Corporate General Ledger, Budgeting, Financial Modelling and Cash Flow systems. The definition of the chart of accounts is configurable as are the posting rules for every transaction type that has been configured by the client. The ledger can be segmented from the fund down to particular investment portfolios and General Ledger transactions are fully traceable to the underlying transactions.
