InfoComp’s ‘Composer’ system makes inroads into UK market
InfoComp is currently in discussion with a number of firms interested in using either its full wrap solution or its individual SIPPs functionality.
The Australian technology firm has already been selected by James Hay to provide the complete back office administration for its wrap proposition, and is now looking to build on its reputation by working with more firms across the UK.
Ian Wilkinson, InfoComp’s director of UK business, said: “We are talking to firms about implementing Composer, and the main thing that firms need to be aware of is that InfoComp works.”
The firm is set to migrate James Hay’s proposition onto its Composer wrap platform from December, with James Hay’s £14bn of assets expected to be transferred by the end of June 2008.
As part of the transfer, InfoComp will also be combining James Hay’s processes on the Composer system. Wilkinson added that InfoComp was launching its CRM system into the UK Composer by the end of the year.
Wilkinson said: “InfoComp can easily handle the £14bn of assets being transferred from James Hay, since the scalability of Composer has been proven by multiple large scale migrations in Australia.”
InfoComp also believed its Composer technology had an advantage over other wrap products because it benefited from innovations taking place in the Australian market, and could integrate them straight away.
“We are very efficient thanks to our experience in Australia, and we can literally offer Composer as a complete ‘out-of-the-box’ back office administration system, or integrate within a company’s existing infrastructure such as workflow and document management,” he said.
Composer provides not only complete wrap functionality but also administration for individual products, such as SIPPs and PEPs.
Kirsty Worgan, InfoComp’s head of sales and marketing, said: “Composer enables providers to launch a full range of offerings, from stand-alone silo products to a full wrap platform.”
She added the system’s flexibility meant providers could include a number of features within their propositions that might otherwise be restricted due to system constraints, including Rebalancing and Factory Gate pricing.
